Come Visit Me!

So my good friend Emily and I are going to be selling our products at an open house this Thursday. There are two times of the day that we are doing it; 11:00am-2:00pm and 5:30pm-7:00pm. Leave me a comment with your email if you would like to come and I will send you the address. Hope to see you there!

Summer adventures

Over the 24th of July weekend we were able to spend some time in Esclante with our extended family. My cute Grandma Lyman was able to make it from Arizona, and it was so awesome to see her again. (Isn't she beautiful?)

No trip to Esclante would be complete without...

a slide down the red rocks,

a visit to Bryce Canyon,

A stop to see Grandpa Palmer, (it was really sunny)

and a swim in Calf Creek.

here is a quick video...
Jack and I had a lot fun, and we can't wait to go back!

Code ADAM... We have a Code ADAM

Code ADAM is an internationally-recognized "missing child" safety program in the USA and Canada, originally created by Wal-Mart retail stores in 1994. It is named in memory of Adam Walsh, the 6-year-old son of John Walsh.

I should have know that programs like this were implemented for people like my son. Yes, while at Wal-Mart today Jack ran away from me. I didn't spend too much time looking for him before I notified a clerk that I had a missing child (I figured that if he wasn't in the arcade then his next move would to exit the store completely). Well as most of you don't have unruly children, let me tell you what happens when they call out a "Code ADAM". You, the parent has to wait at the customer service counter while the whole store goes on lock down. Every employee on the sales floor is required to stop and look for the missing child. No one (this means customers) is allowed to come into or leave the store until the child is found. So here I am standing hopelessly at the customer service desk just praying that Jack is not hiding in some clothing racks or something equally as mischievous, and time is just ticking by. Well, it took 10 min. for an employee to finally locate the evasive child. As the associate was walking towards the customer service desk to return my lost property, I noticed that Jacks legs were black...!?!? As they got closer I realised that Jack was wearing a pair of knee-high women's pantyhose with his flip flops on. AAAHHHH! I guess that I can now add cross dresser to the list of things that my son has become against my will. Why does this never happen to Chris? Wish I had a picture to share, but hopefully the visual will be enough for your to acknowledge the total embarrassment that I felt.

Recovering from an Easter sugar induced coma

I figured that it was about time to bid adieu to our pages "Easter" theme. It was that or leave it up until 2010. Thus I am gracing you with a quick blog.

May 1st is a big day for the Partridge family. (NO we will not be singing you a musical number) Chris will be receiving his bachelors degree with a major in Spanish and a minor in Chemistry. (and enough extra credits to receive an additional degree on top of that) It has been a long road for Chris but we are so proud of him for sticking it out, even when it totally sucked.

Also, on May 1st "Pear Tree Designs" will be making it's debut. I have been working on a menagerie of things to fill a craft booth that will be opening in Bountiful next to Top Hat Video (521 w 2600 s Bountiful for those of you who are not local).

Besides the craziness of finals and last minuet preparations things have been pretty good around here. I will post some pictures a little later in the week (or next week knowing how things go)

Worst Blogger Ever....

So in case you haven't noticed, I am a really horrible blogger. (Shocking, I know) So here is yet another "update".

Christmas was great, Jack loved well, everything. He asks me all of the time now when Santa is coming again. And for me and Chris a year is not enough time between visits. With all of the toys that are getting on our nerves we could do with an every other year visit. Chris got a sweet pair of sun glasses and a microphone, Jack got a scooter, and Ella got some wrapping paper and some diapers (lucky!)

Chris' parents left on their mission to New Zealand a week after Christmas. They seem to be really loving the opportunity to teach, and have nothing but wonderful things to say about the country and the people.
And here is the paragraph where I discuss the weird quirky things Jack does. (my blog wouldn't be complete without it) Here is Jack's latest abnormality.

He has been sleeping with a beanie and ski goggles on. I keep thinking he will take them off at some point during the night, but he wakes up with them on. I am pretty sure that he got some kind of "special" gene from Chris.
And that is about it. I guess I didn't have much to report. Life is kind of slow and boring right about now. I'm sure that we will have more exciting things to report after we get our tax refund! Adios for the next month and a half or so!

Christopher Walken

Chris asked me to put this picture on the blog. This is what happens when you let your husband comb your kids hair. (I think he looks like Christopher Walken which is just creepy!)
